Choosing Healthy Treats for your Pet

Just as the name suggests, treats should be, well, a treat. Pets go crazy for them and love nothing more than asking for a treat. Some clever pets even work out where their treats are kept and will not so subtly hint by sitting next to the cupboard or pawing at it.

If you want to give your pet more treats, choose healthier options. Many pet shops will stock fresh, healthy treat that isn’t full of fat. This can be a good idea if you are training your pet and you are using more treats than usual to reinforce good behaviour.

It will probably cost more to invest in healthy treats, but it is worth it. Your pet will not only enjoy them, but they will be good for their health as well. Some treats, such as bones for dogs, can also last a long time, so they will be useful to have.
