A lot of dog owners are nervous about giving their pet over to a kennel, usually afraid that they’ll be mistreated or neglected while they are there. More often than not, dog kennels go to a lot of effort and invest a lot of money to ensure that an enriching environment is provided for their pet; not only this, but it also gives them a good opportunity to socialise them with other dogs.

An alternative to housing your dog at a kennel is to look at dog boarding homes. These are often smaller operations where they live in much the same manner as they would in a typical home, only usually with more dogs present for them to socialise with. They get to spend their time outside of a cage which kennels are often categorised as providing, as well as receiving walks and time being petted.
